Naga Knockoff or the real thing?Submitted by: |
|
PLEASE HELPI thought this might me a Naga Nagaland necklace, and have seen others listed on Etsy and Ebay that look very similar, with seed beads. This necklace is made with small seed beads, not the more tube shaped beads that the "authentic" necklaces have. This one has 81 strands. It appears as though some strands may have broken off over the years, as from each "padre" bead, some have 3 red bead strands coming from them, some 2, and some 1. I know at least 1 strand is broken, as I see remnants of the broken thread, and a few beads on that short strand. The button is very loose. I don't know what it is made of. It looks like perhaps bone. The necklace measures approximately 26" in length. Any idea if this is the real deal, age, or value? Submit your estimate of worth |
