Roper Charm Stove/ OvenSubmitted by: Jacob |

PLEASE HELPMy wife ad I recently bought a house with a Roper Charm stove and oven. The house was a parade of home in the 1960' so I am assuming the stove and oven is a 1960's model. Two of the burners work, the fan above the oven work, but we can't get the oven to work. Good condition with a little damage near the fan. I do have a model number if that helps. This piece was found in an abandoned farmhouse in southern Wisconsin but there are no other marks or explanations to the use or to the maker. The Gleaners PrintSubmitted by: Maggie |
PLEASE HELPI purchased this large print, which looks to be from around 1890 - 1910? The frame is somewhat damaged in the corners, but is gold and ornate. It is signed in pencil "The Gleaners" and then J. Millet...however I know it is not an original Millet signature. I have not found any marks to date this and wondered if there was any way to tell when the print may have been produced and what the value may be. Submit your estimate of worth |

Estimated Value submitted by AntiquesNavigator.com |

Hi Maggie, Your print is a reproduction of the original artwork by Jean Francois Millet. It's worth around $100 dollars. There are probably 100s of these prints in existence and there's no reason more couldn't be made. Here's another dealer selling a similar print: Jean Francois Millet The Cleaners Litho Print |

PLEASE HELPI have a old wood cook stove that was made between 1850 to 1890 the name on the stove is the FisherLeaf co. in louisville ky on the front of the stove it has Dainty Arizona. Hi Anthony, There were over 200 stove manufacturers in the us during that time and some of them came and went very fast, so its not too surprising you can't find much information about the Fisher-Leaf Co. Completed restored antique stoves from this period can sell for $1500 dollars and up. Restored Antique stoves for sale However, your stove (in its current condition) probably wouldn't command that kind of price. I would say your stove with the right buyer could bring between $400-500 dollars. HELP! Antique 1880-1925 Ansonia Cast Iron porcelain dial ClockSubmitted by: |
PLEASE HELPRecently acquired this Ansonia clock. From what i can find from research I think its around the 1880 period. The body is made of cast iron. It's the original white paint. Everything on it is original. The clock it's self does not work. There is nothing inside the clock. The dial and picture underneath I believe are porcelain. It's a really cool display piece and thought it may have some value when i started reading about it. Help this rookie! Submit your estimate of worth |

Estimated Value submitted by Tim |
In better condition your 1880-1925 Ansonia clock might be worth a lot more, but it appears someone has painted it and you'd need to get the clock movement replaced. In its present condition, I would say your clock is worth around $75-100 dollars. brass candlesticksSubmitted by: devanie |
PLEASE HELPI live in Virginia and there are tons of antiques to be had here. I found this pair of candlesticks at a thrift store. I did the magnet test and it passed for brass. I can't find them anywhere on the internet. They have a bird on one side and a dragon on the other on the 3rd tier down. On the 2nd tier, there is a face on each side. They stand 13.5 inches tall. They come apart in 5 pieces. It also appears that they have some sort of writing on the base tier. On the bottom is a sticker that says Quality, made in taiwan with the letters pwf. I would love to know what they are and their value. Submit your estimate of worth |
Estimated Value submitted by Tim |
Hi Devanie, Taiwan didn't start exporting heavily until the 1970s, so your brass candlesticks are more than likely from the 1970s-1980s or newer. From a antique stand point, they are relatively new. In fact, some collector only reserve the word antique for items that are 100 years old or older. Made in taiwan products normally do not have a lot of value. I would give your brass candlesticks an estimated value of between $12-24 dollars. |
Tiny Vintage Desk ClockSubmitted by: Maria |
PLEASE HELPHere I have a tiny desk clock, that I found recently at a thrift shop. I just loved it so I took it home and I find the details and hallmark intriguing-hopefully you can help me to know more about it. Think the photos describe it best but I can give you the measurements: 2" wide-from hinge to hinge at the top part 2.5" tall 1" diameter of the base. The actual clock's frame looks like wood but it kind of feels like ceramic but it might just be because of the glaze...? Submit your estimate of worth |
Estimated Value submitted by AntiquesNavigator Staff |
Hi Maria, You have a intriguing piece! It appears to be silver, the 800 mark on the bottom normally pertains to the purity of the silver so in this case the metal is 80% silver. Your clock base does not conform to the Sterling standard which is 92.5% silver, but according to the sticker on the bottom its 80% silver! I would give your tiny vintage Silver desk clock an estimated value of around $50-100 dollars or more. |
